Ellie's Special Day

Today was Eleanor's baptism. In attendance were my parents, Jake, Abby, and Ellie's godparents Jason and Kristi. It was a very special day and Ellie was wonderful. She wore her great grandfathers gown and didn't even cry when the water was poured over her head. Ellie cracked a smile and a little giggle for Father Tom while he did his thing. Very cute. Abby was a big help as well and helped Father Tom pour the water into the font. All around it was very special.

My Birthday

Well I celebrated my (gulp) 34th birthday this past Saturday. Or, as I have taken to calling it...the first anniversary of my 33rd birthday. It just seems hard to move out of the early 30's and closer to ....no I can't say it. However, I had a special day and was able to celebrate it with a nice lunch with my good friends Jason and Kristi, dinner with my parents, Jake, and the girls...complete with carrot cake, and this beautiful cake made for me by Abby...with love from playdough. It just seems like the best present ever.

3 months

Ellie and Abby both at 3 months with our cat Jack.

Baptism

Eleanor is getting baptized on February 22 at Christ Episcopal Church. Her godparents will be our good friends Jason and Kristel Knopinski. I was recently looking through Abby's baptism pictures from March of 2007. We baptised her at my parents old church in South Carolina...here are some photos to reminisce...

Abby is wearing her great grandfather's baptismal gown and Ellie will wear it as well.

My father, Abby's godfather Shaun Cline, my cousin Kate Ohlinger (she stood in for my good friend Britta, Abby's godmother), and my mom.

I just love this picture of Abby with her grandparents.

Trip to Arizona

The girls and I had a great trip to Arizona this past week to visit family.
Both girls did great on both flights (Ellie slept and Abby watched a movie!)We had lots of fun with Grandma Fay and Grandpa Joe. We also got to see Jake's sister Fay and husband Corey; Uncle Tom and Aunt Lynn and Great Grandma Bachmann. I also had the chance to visit my good friend Kat and meet her son Jack Casey Brenner; what a cutie! The weather was great all week...in the 70's. Here are some photos from the trip.
